Smooth Class 1/12/2015: Waltz, week 2

1) Warmup and Exercises:

-Belly to spine for “Dancer’s Posture”

-Plies and Releves with “Stretchy Band”

-Swing, Rotation, Sway exercises with “posture hands”

-Dance Position on Pole corner


2) Choreography

-See Notes from Week 1: no difference in choreography


-Swing initiates movement, rotation is secondary (in other words,  correct rotation will be difficult without swing).  Most movements travel in a straight line.

-Natural Spin turn: Ladies step “1.forward, 2.forward (ending back), 3.forward
