Clients Who Got Their Lives Back

Over the years, I have tried many methods to alleviate my physical issues. I have gone to chiropractors, physical therapists, and orthopedic doctors. I have tried rolfing, myofascial release, and Alexander techniques.
In conclusion, Rachel has understood and addressed my issues more than any other methods. With her in-depth knowledge of anatomy and movement, Rachel can assess your entire body and develop a personalized plan for you. In addition, Pilates classes help to reinforce what you learn in your private sessions.
I highly recommend Pilates at ITM to improve your strength, flexibility, and overall fitness.
— Leslie A. Cohen
I’ve worked with Rachel at ITM on and off since the early 2000s to support my dancing. While I’ve long since stopped dancing, I recently began experiencing significant hip pain that made even simple movement difficult. I couldn’t do yoga, sit comfortably, or stay active without pain.
I felt stuck in my body, unable to do the things that are such an important part of my life.
Rachel focused on strengthening my hips in a way that supported recovery without aggravating the injury. It never felt generic—everything was tailored to exactly what my body needed.
Within a few months, I started to notice real progress. I’m back to my full routine (yoga, Pilates, and walking) completely pain-free. Even better, I feel stronger than I did before. Rachel didn’t just help me recover. She helped me come back better.
— Jennifer Lavelle
I worked with Rachel for many years doing regular pilates. After a dislocation of my shoulder, she helped me regain use of my right arm.

I felt very frustrated when I didn’t see much progress doing PT exercises. I went from only being able to lift my arm to the side about 3 “. By the end of working with Rachel, I could lift my arm straight up in the air.

Once again after back and shoulder surgery and after formal PT ended, she used pilates exercises specific to my issue. We continue to work on both shoulders after having a replacement in one shoulder and a partial rotator cuff tear in the other.

She is very patient and encouraging. I physically feel so much better after working with Rachel on my issues. I feel she will continue to help me as advance in age to keep me strong, flexible, and positive in my life.
— Ellen Varenhorst
I began lessons with Rachel for help with my severe scoliosis.  After over 20 years of various types of physical therapy which gave me no help whatsoever, I have experienced more pain relief, flexibility and strength than I ever thought possible.
Rachel has an absolute GIFT for seeing & evaluating the body and assessing the needs of each individual.  This is also evident in her massage therapy.  She is unfailingly positive and encouraging.  During Pilates, she is sensitive to my struggles but never lets me give up.  Rachel allows me to work with her virtually so I can travel for weeks at a time and I can continue my lessons without losing my gains.
Please strongly consider Inspiration to Movement for any and all of your desired and needed physical improvement needs.
